About me
Hi, I’m Nadalina Merkelijn. I’ve always been passionate about working with both people and processes, finding ways to create environments where everyone can thrive. With a background in chemical and industrial engineering, I’ve navigated various roles—whether it’s coordinating operations at Gasunie or guiding students at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen—where I’ve had the chance to blend technical expertise with a genuine commitment to people.
I believe that strong human connections are the foundation of a successful and enjoyable work environment. At Gasunie, I’ve worked on complex HR, technical, and IT challenges, always with the goal of empowering my colleagues and removing obstacles that prevent them from doing their best work. My focus is on building trust and creating a safe space where people can be themselves and grow.
My role as a member of the Raad van Toezicht at Young Impact allows me to contribute to causes that align with my values—especially the importance of diversity, inclusiveness, and making a positive impact on society. It’s a chance for me to help guide an organization that’s committed to changing the world for the better.
Beyond my professional life, I’m a technologist at heart. I’m always exploring the possibilities of AI and home automation, whether it’s through coding projects or making my living space more accessible and efficient. I’m driven by a curiosity to see how technology can enhance our daily lives.
At the end of the day, I’m all about connecting with others who share a passion for meaningful work and innovation. If you’re interested in making a difference together, let’s connect—I’d love to see what we can achieve.
